aiSnapApi ("we", "us", "our") operates the screenshot API service at aisnapapi.com and api.aisnapapi.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.
We believe in transparency and simplicity. We collect only what we need to operate the Service, and we handle your data responsibly.

2. How We Use Your Data

- Provide the Service: Process your API requests, generate screenshots and PDFs, and return results to you.

- Abuse prevention: Detect and prevent misuse of the Service, including excessive requests, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Service improvement: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and features.
- Communication: Send you important service announcements, such as changes to terms, planned maintenance, or security notices.
3. What We Do NOT Store
We do not store the screenshots or PDFs you generate. When you make an API request, the capture is generated server-side and returned directly to you in the API response. Once the response is delivered, the captured image or PDF is immediately discarded from our servers. We do not maintain an archive or cache of your captured content.
4. Data Retention
- API usage logs: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted. This includes URLs requested, timestamps, and response metadata.
- Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.
- IP addresses in rate-limit logs: Retained for up to 90 days.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do NOT sell your data to third parties. We will never monetize your personal information or API usage data by selling it to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
We may share limited data with the following service providers who help us operate the Service:
- Cloudflare: CDN and proxy services for performance and DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process your IP address and request headers as part of proxying traffic. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Payment processing for paid subscriptions (future). Stripe handles payment card data directly; we never see or store your full card number. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose data if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
6. Cookies
Currently, aiSnapApi does not use cookies on its website or API. We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics tools.
If we add analytics or cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide notice. Any analytics would be privacy-respecting and minimal.
7. Security Measures
We take the security of your data seriously and implement the following measures:
- API key hashing: Your API keys are stored in hashed form. We cannot view your raw API key after creation.
- HTTPS everywhere: All communication between your application and our API is encrypted using TLS.
- Rate limiting: Built-in protection against brute-force and abuse attempts.
- Access controls: Internal access to systems and data is restricted to essential personnel only.
- Infrastructure security: Our servers are hosted with reputable providers that maintain industry-standard physical and network security.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to keep your API keys confidential and rotate them if you suspect a compromise.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. You can also delete your API keys at any time through the Service.
- Correction: You can request correction of any inaccurate personal data.
- Data portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format.

9. Children's Privacy
aiSnapApi is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will:
